Hi,

for a similar use case I use AllowOutboundLocalhost + a local DNS
server that does what I want + an application that can be configured
to use this local resolver.

For the general use case this is about, the best solution is of course
to extend Tor's DNS support to MX etc. I'd rather see tor/torsocks
developers spend time on fixing the root cause, instead of on
implementing + maintaining workarounds such as the one suggested here.
So I'm tagging this wontfix and won't bother them about it.
