  E: proftpd-basic: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit
  status 100

Status in “proftpd-dfsg” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I have tried to remove proftpd through Synaptic (Complete removal).
  Along with proftpd-basic, other associated packages + gadmin-proftpd
  and gproftpd were also selected for complete removal. Though other
  packages got un-installed, proftpd-basic thrown following error.

  Error details:

  Removing proftpd-basic ...

   subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 100

   proftpd-basic
