Title:
proftpd-mysql needs howto or default behavior

Status in “proftpd-dfsg” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: proftpd-mysql

mysql is a common proftpd authentication backend. Installing proftpd-
mysql could have some default behavior where it can automatically
create the necessary db and tables from some user-supplied
information. This way, the user does not need to manually create the
mysql tables and edit the proftpd config files.

I had to manually create the necessary tables and config options. The
information I used for this process is here:

  http://www.debuntu.org/how-to-ftp-virtual-host-with-proftpd-mysql

The standard dpkg ``Do you want me to do this for you'' would be
  great.
