Dear Maintainer,

We maintain an Ubuntu derivative and we needed to package the latest
stable version of proftpd to fix a bug with ACL:

We took time to provide some packaging for Debian.

You can find our work in the dist/debian/unstable branch of our
repository[1].

We hope the level of the packaging is OK for you, do not hesitate to
give advises if needed.
