I would branch 1.3.5e into a specific new branch and upgrade master
to 1.3.6. That said I changed a few of things in 1.3.5e but I'm not
specifically happy about that. For instance, still there are problems
with hardening here and there. At this point of development I find convenient
moving to a modern dh based debian/rules and start to fix things there.
I would release 1.3.5e with latest fixes and move over.
