We're making progress:

- package builds on Hurd w/o patch
- lintian bug found, reported, got patch (#887428)
- another bug in build system of 1.3.6 found, reported. Still waiting.
   (#4336)

Please drop me a note where I should push my code changes? A new git 
branch called 1_3_6? Should I commit into master? I could need some help 
in handling the git repo.
