[Pkg-pulseaudio-devel] Bug#553993: pulseaudio: pulse assert kills unrelated app

Package: pulseaudio
Version: 0.9.19-2
Severity: important

My pidgin session just died with:

Assertion '!in_worker(m)' failed at pulse/thread-mainloop.c:161, function pa_threaded_mainloop_stop(). Aborting.

This seems to be pulseaudio related, though I don't know where in the maze of
twisty audio lib this assert is (could also be gstreamer?)

I'm also getting this in my syslog:

Nov 2 08:05:27 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 91 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:07:20 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 76 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:08:09 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 78 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:08:44 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 64 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:13:18 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 74 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:13:32 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 63 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:13:52 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 61 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:19:18 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 60 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:19:53 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 70 events suppressed
Nov 2 08:20:04 annuminas pulseaudio[5282]: ratelimit.c: 70 events suppressed

Which is extremely unhelpful as it never indicates what's being suppressed.
