Just a short FYI about the upstream bug report.

I have two systems running Debian unstable (with alsa-utils installed)
with Intel HDA hardware, but only one of them have this problem. 

The one without the bug is terminating the PA process after logging out
from gdm, but I'm not sure why this doesn't happen on both systems.
