Can you still reproduce this issue with pulseaudio 5.0? This may have
been a bluez problem. What bluez version do you have?

If this is still a problem, I need the output of:

pulseaudio -k ; pulseaudio -vvvv --log-time --log-target=file:pa.log

When you connect the bluetooth headset.
