Bug#744831: Upstream will not apply this patch

Control: tags -1 = upstream moreinfo

The patch is not considered for upstream inclusion, as the problem
seems to be elsewhere. Thus I have reverted the change in the git
repository.

Corcodel, if you could provide the additional info requested by
upstream it would be great. Otherwise this bug might go unfixed.
