I'm having second thoughts on the change on commit c612a6276d8a,
because upstream is not considering applying it[1]. The OP has not
responded to upstream's requests for comments nor my pings.

Also, I'd like to add a bugscript to the package, but I didn't get
much input on what should we ask for. I have a provisional script in
the branch fsateler/bugscript (just pushed).
