Package: pulseaudio
Version: 12.0-1
Followup-For: Bug #904098

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I upgraded Debian "testing" last night. Last system upgrade was a month or two
ago. Now I have no audio.

After reading this bug report, I purged timidity from my system. Pulseaudio
still only sees a dummy device. However, with timidity gone, I can use mpg321
to play mp3 files from the command line. So, timidity was a problem. But there
is something else going on I think.

Then I upgraded pulseaudio and dependancies to the latest versions in unstable,
and still pulseaudio isn't seeing my audio device.

I purged and reinstalled pulseaudio and dependencies. No change. No audio
card detected by pulseaudio.
