Hi,

The issue is due to a optiomizations impacting precision with GCC8.
There is an existing bug report on this issue upstream:

and an existing merge request there too:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/merge_requests/4

I've created the MR on salsa to add the upstream patch with quilt in
the current version:
https://salsa.debian.org/pulseaudio-team/pulseaudio/merge_requests/1
