Bug#996043: pavucontrol: wish simple, explicit way of selecting keyboard media keys for volume, play

Package: pavucontrol
Version: 4.0-2
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

====================================================================================

After a system upgrade it seemed the keyboard volume keys no longer
workeed but the play/stop keys did.

This was fixed in Output Control by setting the correct output to be
fallback, with no other changes on any other settting (in or out of
pavucontrol).

It would be clearer if there was an explicit setting that allowed one to
make keyboard media keys like volume apply to a specific output.

This is a minor request but it would make it much easier to solve
problems when the media keys no longer work.
