Package: puppetmaster
Version: 0.24.5-3
Severity: important
lenny/sid's puppetmaster randomly stops working and fills the logs
with
puppetmasterd[30121]: Could not find facts for pulse.madduck.net; you probably have a discrepancy between the node and fact names
puppetmasterd[30121]: Could not call: No such file or directory - /var/puppet/yaml/node
I cannot help but notice /var/puppet/yaml/node, which is not used on
Debian. Something is hitting the fan here...
puppet invocations report:
err: /File[/var/lib/puppet/lib]: Failed to generate additional
resources during transaction: No such file or directory
- /var/puppet/yaml/node
followed by *plenty* other errors.
vera:/etc/puppet# puppetmasterd --configprint all | grep yaml
catalog_format = yaml
clientyamldir = /var/lib/puppet/client_yaml
statefile = /var/lib/puppet/state/state.yaml
yamldir = /var/lib/puppet/yaml
vera:/etc/puppet# puppetmasterd --configprint all | grep -c /var/puppet
0
Restarting puppetmasterd seems to fix the problem. It's still a bug
somewhere.
