I agree.  

I need 0.25.x debs for work as well, and the refactoring will need a bit
of testing, and the dependency bits will need straightening out. :)

I'm in the middle of the refactoring work now, I'll push that to a
"refactor" branch on alioth.  That should be testable with:

       git pull origin
       git checkout -b origin/refactor refactor
       git-buildpackage -us -uc --git-debian-branch=refactor
