So I have administrative access to the alioth list[0], and I can change
the "Maximum length in kilobytes (KB) of a message body" option. It is
currently set to 40, but obviously we are hitting that. I'm not sure
what to set it at, but how about I guess randomly at 150k. If someone
has a more accurate guess than me, please suggest otherwise, or see the
footnote below.

0. anyone else want this? its currently me and Thom, who is quite
inactive in the team now, it would be good if there were other people
besides me!
