Do people find the commit email useful *at all*? If they aren't, then it
might not be worth going through the process of moving them, and instead
we could disable them.
I find them only partly interesting, just as an indicator that someone
is doing something, which I then look into through other means. If I
could get that information another way, then I wouldn't bother
subscribing to a commits list.
