Like the "squeeze" branch for the frozen release, we could add another
packaging branch for 0.25.x used by Ubuntu releases, and base it on the
last 0.25.x release.
It should work well, and would not be in the way for other packaging
work which we do on "master".
I guess the hard part would be bikeshedding the name. :)
