Also, I submitted this bug six months ago:

but not much information there... I had the idea that it was going to be
integrated upstream and packaging it independently would not be
necessary.

Nevertheless, I'm not against making a package of this, making it a part
of the pkg-puppet team repository and uploading it to debian. It can
always be removed if/when this type of upstream integration makes it,
and until then having it in debian would be a good way to get more
testing. 

Sven, are you interested in taking on the items that Stig mentioned as
the fixes to make the package work, and the license question, and make
it happen? We can make space for you over here in the team! :)
