Hi!

Those old bug reports were all forwarded upstream, which declined to
fixed those issues in Puppet. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity
to patch this ourselves, even less carry a Puppet fork that would
accomplish what you desired here, so we are closing those bug reports.
