Hi folks,

I recently got me a bunch of rpi 3s:

(that's five 3s plus a 1 that I still had lying around somewhere)

I was planning on running native Debian on them and use it for
development of a few cluster tools that I want to work on, but the
requirement of a serial console is a bit of an unexpected bummer. Just
ordered a 3.3V USB serial convertor, but I'd prefer not to have to use
that too often. I'll be running raspbian on them for now, but if I can
avoid that and run Debian arm64 instead, that would be awesome.

The wiki lists a few issues with the current state of things in Debian,
but doesn't explain why those are the case. Can anyone shed some light
there? Specifically, what would be needed to get the HDMI working?
Getting that to work would fix the most urgent problem I have with
what's there today already.

Thanks,

< ron> I mean, the main *practical* problem with C++, is there's like a dozen
people in the world who think they really understand all of its rules,
and pretty much all of them are just lying to themselves too.
