[Pkg-raspi-maintainers] Update on VC4 driver?

Hi,

I have unfortunately lost track of the Raspberry Pi 3 efforts in Debian,
apart form my GPIO packages.

What is the current state of video support? I tried the current preview
image, but X.org was very slow, even with the fbturbo driver I packaged,
and there does not seem to be OpenGL support.

I see that the firmware repository has a device tree overlay
vc4-fkms-v3d that should allegedly work with the vanilla Linux kernel.
Has anyone tried that?

Should 3D video work with the current preview image? If so, any hints on
how?
