[Pkg-raspi-maintainers] Bug#1115738: Suggestion on debugging and fixing the raspi firmware issue

Hi, I check the content of the raspi-firmware package, and it includes post-update trigger script for initramfs and post-install trigger for kernel.

$ apt-file list raspi-firmware
raspi-firmware: /etc/initramfs/post-update.d/z50-raspi-firmware
raspi-firmware: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/z50-raspi-firmware
raspi-firmware: /etc/kernel/postrm.d/z50-raspi-firmware


The /etc/kernel/postinst.d/z50-raspi-firmware script copies some files into /boot/firmware/, but I am not sure about the list of files and all its side effects.
I guess you could add "set -x" at the beginning of the trigger script, and do something to trigger the script and check what are copied.

If you want to remove the trigger script, one option is to use dpkg-divert to rename it and put it in other folders, which is a one-time operation that works after upgrading the packages.
