I have this bug on two systems running stretch as well. The problem for me is a missing directory /run/xrdp. When I create that directory xrdp-sesman can be started functions properly. On reboot, the directory is deleted and the service doesn't work again until the directory is created and the service restarted. Hope this helps. RLFrost
