Bug#879663: remmina: [regression] cannot type letters in Firefox in VMware vSphere Web Client in console views

Package: remmina
Version: 1.2.0-rcgit.21-1
Severity: important

I use remmina to connect to a Windows Server 2012 R2 system that runs
Firefox 56.0.1 and connects to a VMware vSphere Web Client (both Flash and HTML5).

If I then choose a virtual machine (either Windows or Debian) and click
the Open Console action to view the console of a VM, I cannot type
anything to login.

remmina 1.2.0-rcgit.20-4 from snapshot.d.o does not have this problem.
Chrome and Internet Explorer do not have this problem.

If I login using Chrome/IE then switch back to Firefox after logging in
I can't type but see the enter, backspace, delete, arrow keys work.

There is nothing present on the remmina stdout/stderr or debug window.

I confirmed using Debian input-utils the keys are not reaching the VM.

I noticed that the Firefox debug console has errors like this:

Extraction of keyCode from keyUp event failed.

With the older version of remmina, this gets printed instead:

key: 97-down-vScanCode:30
key: 97-up-vScanCode:30

These messages are from the VMware client JavaScript.

I tried debugging the (jQuery based) minified VMware client JavaScript
and as far as I can tell, the keyCode is zero with the new version of
remmina and 65 for 'a' in the old version of remmina.
