I don't have any particular experience in AT, but I do know that it's
a reasonably popular extension, and it'd be great to have it in Debian.
Of course, more interest in the team as a whole is also good :)

We use both git and subversion repositories on alioth to manage packages;
git is probably preferred these days.

I would suggest the best thing to do, if you agree, would be for us
to add your account on alioth (already set up as you're a DD) to our
alioth project, and then you can push your package into a new git repo
in our space. I'm then happy to review it before it's uploaded with the
team name on it :)
