The reason Debian unstable is currently based on 4.0.7 is that we are
frozen in preparation for the release of wheezy, and packaging new
versions necessarily takes a back seat. The current package, 4.0.7-4,
includes the security fixes from 4.0.7; have a look at the changelog[1].

If you think there are updates which should be targetted at wheezy,
and qualify as important bugs, please file them in the BTS; there is
still a chance to fix things in wheezy (please include pointers to
git commits if possible). Separately, if you have a particular interest in
seeing later versions in Debian experimental, please file a wishlist bug
for that. By default I will probably end up updating the Debian packages
shortly after the wheezy release but if there is interest in having
packages available in experimental sooner I may well be able to do that.
