Source: request-tracker4
Version: 4.4.3-2
Severity: normal

Hi Dominic,

We're running into a few minor issues with RT 4.4.3. In particular,
we're looking at migrating from MySQL/MariaDB to PostgreSQL for a number
of reasons, and the export/import process has some issues fixed in
4.4.4.

More specifically, we need the 'reset-sequences' script[1] and a fix for
transferring UTF-8 strings correctly to PostgreSQL[2].

1. https://github.com/bestpractical/rt/commit/0546b38ca0fdc998c70fb725066e1ce322ec078b
2. https://github.com/bestpractical/rt/commit/7e756b830c18ac0514fb10ddefa612dae337a9d6

Clearly we can work around this ourselves for our migration, but there
are numerous changes in RT 4.4.4 that we would like to see at some
point.

Best regards,
Chris
