More or less just a documentation issue:

Comments in /etc/roundcube/defaults.inc.php (as well as
/usr/share/doc/roundcube-core/config.inc.php.sample) say:
// SMTP server host (for sending mails).
...
// %z - IMAP domain (IMAP hostname without the first part)
// For example %n = mail.domain.tld, %t = domain.tld

i.e. the comment claims %z is the IMAP domain, but the example says %t.
In fact, %z does not work, while %t does.
