Great idea.  Maybe it should get a more apt'like interface.

pkg-ruby-get-sources setup (create ../tarballs after checking, update list)
pkg-ruby-get-sources get
pkg-ruby-get-sources update
...
(just an idea)

We could use our own libcmd-ruby or libcmdparse-ruby for this.

In the ruby-pkg-tools package? Hmm, for it to be bundled with that package
is of only use if you are offline so you have that list, but you still 
can only use it when you're online anyway.  I vote no. :)
