I know that dpkg-source has problems with that, and I was going to take a
look at repackaging, though my time at the moment is *very* limited. So if
anyone else feels like implementing this, please do.

I still think that having .bz2 support in the Debian packaging scripts would
be very nice. Then again, I guess that if it hasn't been implemented yet it's
probably too much work with too little payoff.
