[Pkg-ruby-extras-maintainers] Directory layout for the new svn-buildpackage?

Hi all,

I've noticed that now, svn-upgrade seems to "require" the
branches/upstream/current directory in the SVN repository. I assume it's
something related to a more recent version, but haven't actually checked.

I have seen something about a configuration file named "deb-layout", in
which (I guess) you can configure svn-upgrade to behave as it has always done.
For now, I have just created empty branches/upstream/current directories in
two packages I have been working on today (libhighline-ruby and libjson-ruby),
but it's probably a better idea to talk about it here and decide if we are
going to keep the current directory layout. If so, we will have to find out
(and document on the website!) how to configure svn-upgrade to not annoy
developers :-)

    Regards,
