Well, I use pdebuild, which places the debs and stuff in .. (like debuild
also does). This worked for me for months if not years. However, now
after a build:

% ls ..
build-area                         libopenid-ruby_1.1.4-2.diff.gz
tags                               libopenid-ruby_1.1.4-2.dsc

trunk                              libopenid-ruby_1.1.4-2_powerpc.changes
libopenid-ruby1.8_1.1.4-2_all.deb  libopenid-ruby_1.1.4.orig.tar.gz
% debc
debc: can't read libopenid-ruby_1.1.4-2_powerpc.changes!

The changes files seems quite available to me in ..
