libgettext-ruby is also dead upstream, but is widely used

~ apt-cache rdepends libgettext-ruby1.8
libgettext-ruby1.8
Reverse Depends:
  samizdat
  samizdat
  kazehakase
  dhelp
  samizdat
  riece
  libgettext-ruby-util
  libgettext-ruby-data
  libactiveldap-ruby1.8
  kazehakase
  fantasdic
  dhelp
  riece
  rbbr
  libgettext-ruby-util
  kazehakase
  alexandria

Allowing liblocale-ruby1.8 to install a locale.so binary will most
probably break all the packages above.

I don't know what is best to do now. You might want to use

Breaks: libgettext-ruby1.8

However, this is a fairly recent addition to dpkg, and it might not be
supported in time in testing, or cause etch to lenny upgrades problems.

The best would probably be to rename the library, unless you did check
that all the programs above work with liblocale-ruby1.8...

  Cheers,

	Vincent
