Package: ruby-rspec-core
Version: 2.5.1-1
Severity: normal
Trying the cucumber package, I've got the following error:
terceiro at morere:~/src/debian/pkg-ruby-extras/cucumber (master)$ sudo debi
Selecionando pacote previamente não selecionado cucumber.
(Lendo banco de dados ... 253354 ficheiros e directórios actualmente instalados.)
Desempacotando cucumber (de cucumber_1.0.2-1_all.deb) ...
dpkg: erro processando cucumber_1.0.2-1_all.deb (--install):
a tentar sobre-escrever '/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/autotest/discover.rb', que também está no pacote ruby-rspec-core 2.5.1-1
Erros foram encontrados durante o processamento de:
cucumber_1.0.2-1_all.deb
debi: debpkg -i failed
The output is in Portuguese, but the problem is that both cucumber and
ruby-rspec-core had a file called /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/autotest/discover.rb.
These autotest files are intended to use by the upstream developers as a helper
for the autotest tool in the ZenTest package [1], but they are not supposed to
be installed by Debian packages (except in the case someone ever packages
ZenTest itself, which does have valid files under the autotest/ namespace).
[1] http://rubygems.org/gems/ZenTest
For now I am removing the autotest files in cucumber debian/rules, but this
should probably be handled by gem2deb.
Anyway, ruby-rspec-core should not ship any files in
/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/autotest
