Public bug reported:

After installing rubygems1.9.1 package in Ubuntu 10.04, the gem -v
command continues to report that it is at 1.3.5.

iraway at mead:~$ sudo apt-get install rubygems1.9.1

rubygems1.9.1 is already the newest version.
