Hello,

I can confirm this bug. I have to patch the installed redmine contents
after every update. It makes the REST API unuseable because it returns a
500. The Patch from the upstream Bug at [1] fixes this issue.

Please consider to put this bug to the important list and include this
one-line patch for the wheezy release.
