Control: severity -1 minor
Control: retitle -1 ruby-diff-lcs needs to be rebuilt against gem2deb>=0.3.0

Hi!

Thanks for your report.

Integration of Ruby Debian packages with rubygems arrived late in the
release cycle for Wheezy, but it requires rebuilding the packages with
newer gem2deb (>= 0.3.0~). Unfortunately, not all packages could be
uploaded before the freeze, so some of them go not provide integration
with rubygems.

See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=691317 for a
similar problem.

The solution as you found is to rebuild the packages locally.

Another possibility is to patch out from the gems you use the
requirement on rubygems, if you ensure that all the dependencies are
already installed.

Anyway, this will be fixed automatically when a new version of the
package will be uploaded to the archive, which unfortunately is not
likely to happen before the release of Wheezy.

Thanks for your understanding.

Cheers,

Cédric
