Hi Tomas,

The problem is that, as this bug is not compatible with Ruby ≥ 1.9.1,
and upstream no longer supports it, it would not allow us to drop Ruby
1.8 (which is planned to happen during this release cycle). Jessie
will ship with support for Ruby 1.9.1 and 2.0, but 1.8 will be
dropped.
