I understand that this problem is fixed now, but ruby-ffi is still not building on ppc64el due to another bugs that I described in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=765092 With the two patches from 765092 I am able to build ruby-ffi without any problem on the most recent release.
