[DRE-maint] Bug#764688: Bring goocanvas 2.x to Debian sid

Hi Berto,

I am also keen to move goocanvas2 to sid as one of my packages (Gramps)
has a popular plugin that depends on it (and it currently cannot be used).

So I intend to adopt goocanvas, and I am starting on the process to
investigate and test all the rdepends to see if we could move the
package as it is, or whether your suggestion of a name change would be
better.

I am a DM, and I would be very happy to work with you on this if you
like. Actually, I made contact on debian-gnome this morning because I
think it would be a good fit with the team. But I can also stick it in
collab-maint.

I will report back on this bug.
