Dear Pirate,

Thank you for fixing this bug.  I just noticed one thing in the
changelog:

>  gitlab (8.8.2+dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=medium
>  .
>    * Symlink /run/gitlab/cache to /var/lib/gitlab/cache (or /run gets filled up)

If this really is cache (which can be regenerated if it is lost), then
it should go in /var/cache, not /var/lib.
