I've found out how to do this correctly: at present, you source the
/usr/share/dbconfig-common/dpkg script only in the postinst; you also
need to do this in the prerm and postrm maintainer scripts and run
dbc_go, etc.  See section 3.1.2 of the dbconfig-common documentation.
(You cannot simply delete this file in the postrm, as it is registered
with ucf by dbconfig-common.)
