Package: chef
Version: 12.14.60-2
Severity: important
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package's logrotate
configuration causes logrotate to exit with an error after
the package has been removed.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

0m51.6s ERROR: Command failed (status=1): ['chroot', '/srv/piuparts/tmp/tmpLT5MQ1', '/usr/sbin/logrotate', '/etc/logrotate.d/chef']
error: stat of /var/log/chef failed: No such file or directory

Since chef was only installed and removed in this scenario,
but never ran, no logfiles have been created at all.

cheers,

Andreas
