Hello,

Apparently, this bug still exists in version 12.1.14-1+fto10+1 of gitlab.

It also leads to another bug: if you purge and reinstall gitlab without
removing the leftovers in between, your new gitlab instance will have
problems accessing the unterlying Git repos. You get "401 Unauthorized"
errors when you try to access the Git repository of a project either via
`git pull` or by creating a new file via web UI.

Would be nice to get this bug fixed.

Apart from that: thanks a lot for the hard work with maintaining Gitlab
for Debian. It's much appreciated.

Cheers,
 jonas
