[DRE-maint] Bug#977701: gitlab: Missing assets, breaking some functionalities

I see a new update (13.5.6) is available through fasttrack-staging. Is it supposed to include a fix for the missing assets issue discussed here, or would it probably still trigger it?

I should be able to give it a try on my server, reverting to a snapshot afterwards if the issue is not fixed yet.
