Thanks for the prompt response, removing 
/usr/share/gitlab/config/initializers/transaction_metrics.rb did the 
trick. The installation finishes now.


Unfortunately, now gitlab-sidekiq fails to start since it is apparently 
trying to run a command with `sudo`:
