The bug is also present in ruby 3.0 and ruby 3.1 in Debian unstable. I 
don't recall if I tested against ruby 2 or 3 on unstable originally, but 
I checked just now to verify that the bug is indeed also present there. 
Should a new report filed for that or should this report be re-opened?
