Hi Bastian,

It is not appropriate to do this; even if all three crates are part of the same git repository, the cargo package manager tracks their versions separately and the upstream authors are free to decouple the version histories of each crate at any time.

Manually merging the packages into one single Debian package therefore does not gain any significantly-measurable benefit, and would cause even more extra work in future if upstream decides exercise their freedom to decouple the version histories, at which point a split would be necessary again.
